Side By Side is a community of women who share the common bond of being married to doctors, dentists, and those still in medical or dental training. We relate to, support, pray for, love, and encourage one another on this ever-changing journey of the educational and professional process.
This journey presents many unique challenges: moving to new area where you may not know anyone, having your husband gone much of the time, and living on a limited income. For those who have children, it can sometimes feel like you are doing it on your own. The good news is, you don’t have to feel alone.
We want to celebrate together the beautiful moments and the exciting accomplishments that come with this journey. We also want to support each other through the many challenges along the way. Having a group of women who just "get it" can be a breath of fresh air for a weary, overwhelmed soul. Our prayer is that we will be able to reach many women in Pittsburgh to support and to strengthen each other.
Side by Side is a national, non-denominational, Bible-based organization that welcomes ALL medical and dental wives, regardless of religious background or denomination, and ministers to women through Bible study, friendship, and prayer. Founded in 1988 in Rochester, MN, there are currently over 50 chapters across the country. We work in partnership with the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).
